I've got this in my diary. Maybe we could travel in convoy? Although if I take the 99 it won't be fast!

Well Mrs Troll has expressed an interest in going, so I've bagged a room at the Applcross Inn. She doesn't "do" camping, or staying in huts.
Rooms are very hard to get at the Inn, (there are only 7), even this far in advance, so don't change the date!!

We've just grabbed a cancelled room for sat night at the Applecross Inn ..
:D
I'm sure you could make it Rich... room here if you need it..
Will hide the Whisky though..

Sounds like a plan - if I'm driving that sort of distance, it's generally at a steady 60mph or so......

I've just booked a camping hut at the campsite, currently at £45 and they all seem to be available. Just need Barry to organise some sunshine please!

An added attraction - I've just spotted that Sat 13th May is the date of the Inverness Classic Vehicle Show 2017 (see https://www.facebook.com/events/178709129167653/ for 2016 event).
Hundreds of classic cars displayed in the streets of the city and in the grounds of the castle, with street entertainers, musicians etc - well worth attending en route to Applecross, I would have thought ?
The event usually finishes with a parade at 3pm, so could even be time afterwards for the onward run (about 85 miles).
Entry forms not yet available, but let me know if you fancy entering the show !

I am hoping to make this but it's going to be a last minute decision as Jan is in hospital the previous week. It'll depend on whether she wants (and feels up to) a break or whether she thinks a rest will be better. Also whether accommodation is available at the last minute.

Happy New Year to all.!
Spent New Year in Krakow in Poland.
Had a great time.

I would certainly be up for putting the old Troll on display at the show, though I'm not sure about leaving after the parade.
If it starts at 3 pm, would be a while after that before you could get away.
Would be possible to display on the street, but leave before the parade?

Google maps say 2 1/4 hrs.

The Troll.

Happy new Year All.

I have always fancied Krakow Andy . . . . . you can tell me all about it in Applecross.

Looks like we will be staying in the Loch Maree Hotel, Talladale on Friday 12th.

We will have a trip up to Inverasdale on Saturday then head south to meet the Southern Hordes at Lochcarron or Kishorn prior to the run over the hill to Applecross.

Any idea of arrival times at Lochcarron / Kishorn on Saturday ?

Cheers :park:

Aye, aye Jim.
Krakow is a truly nice place. Beautiful architecture, very good food, drinks, lovely people.
Not expensive.
Might see you before May.
I may have reason to be in Inverurie in the next few weeks.
Will get in touch.
PM me your phone numbers.

Still to see your Left Hooker 96!!

Andy
