I have made the decision to sell my Saab as at the moment its just sitting on my drive and not getting used.
I bought the Saab a couple of months ago ready to take on my trip to the Nurburgring in June, since buying I have only really used it a hand full of times on a weekend and with my trip now hanging in the balance I have decided to pop it up for sale.
It has covered 165000 miles and has a long MOT until September 2017.
Its in good condition for its ago and in my opinion is a really good looking car, it is 16 years old however so its not by any means perfect.
The interior has full black leather which is again in good condition.
There is a tow bar fitted which I have never used but assume it works fine.
In preparation for my trip I have fitted a sport air filter in place of the original and also fitted a small air scoop on the side bumper to help direct air to the filter.
With the filter fitted you now get a lovely sound of the turbo spooling up and slight blow off noise, which I love
This is the only modification I have done to the car, other than this it is completely standard.
As with all cars there are bad points...... one front fog light is smashed, still works fine. The temperature on the climate control is stuck, the passenger side blows warm and the drivers side blows cool. I have had a look into this and it appears to be a very common issue where the little arm on the motor that control the temp breaks, a new arm can be bought cheaply from eBay for about £15 per side and then its just a case of getting behind to swap them over, I haven't done this as it doesn't really bother me as the car still warms up fine as the rear vents and passenger side blow warm and then I just shut the drivers side
and finally when the car has been left for a few days can be a bit Smokey when started, this clears fairly quickly and doesn't smoke when driving or under boost etc.
Next on my list was to do a sump drop and updated PCV, I have not got around to doing this but I have considered this in my price.
I really do love this car, it always brings a smile to my face and you don't see many around especially being the Aero HOT, however with it just sitting on my drive it may as well go to some one that is going to use and appreciate it.
I am only asking £750ono which I think is a very very fair price, I know its not the best example out there but its far from the worst.
I would ideally like a sale as quick as possible as its not the smallest off cars and takes up a fair bit of room which I getting ear ache about
Car is located in Walsall, West Midlands.
