In order to enable users to quickly assess whether they will be able to assist posters with their queries, and to ensure that moderators can at a glance check that posters are giving the basic info necessary to avoid wasting other user's time asking basic questions, there exists a requirement for thread titles to contain the following information:
[Car Year][Car Model]: [Brief description of issue]
Sadly (and despite the great big orange box spelling it out), around 30% of members posting in the workshop are still failing to meet these basic good sense requirements.
Auditing these threads, and trying to gain compliance has proved an incredibly time intensive and generally unproductive process for the moderation team.
In response to these facts we have created an F1 style Pit Lane into which all threads with non-compliant thread titles will be moved. No replies can be made to threads in The Pit Lane, but the original poster is able to edit their thread title. Once they do that, and the thread title meets the published requirements, the thread will be moved back into the workshop forum where the rest of the membership base (freshly furnished with all the info they need to help without wasting their time) will no doubt be able to assist.
So if you're looking for your thread you posted in the workshop and has now vanished, odds are that you need to visit The Pit Lane and revise your thread title.viewforum.php?f=54
