Latest update on mine. Last one was Oct 2013. It's not what you'd call a "fast-moving project", this...:

Remove centre of front bumper x-member and cut holes in bumper to aid cooling.
Source some 336mm Ovlov discs and adapt discs & calipers to suit...
Maybe fit thicker all-alloy rad & add Evans waterless coolant stuff (as MRD has been testing in his 9000).
Paint & fit rear spoiler bought from Andy4 (thanks mate!)
Find and fit a strut brace.
Plate the front bottom arms to stiffen them and reduce flex, maybe?

Here is a list of what I known has been done to my 1996 9000 Aero over the years.
This is the Aero which was featured in Fast Car magazine and the Saab Owners Club magazine some 5yrs ago.

1996 9000 Aero 2.3T (Imola Red), with standard engine & gearbox.

ENGINE:
Jules_HT Stage 3 remap, with T7 APC conversion. Pulling 1.5 Bar boost. (Later 20Mhz T5 ECU)
Abbott Racing 2.5" Downpipe.
Abbott Racing 2.5" De-CAT pipe.
Abbott Racing full 2.5" Stainless exhaust with 4" rear tailpipe.
Abbott Racing Turbo induction pipe with open air filter mounted inside left wing.
Forge Motorsport Open air dump valve.
Abbott Racing uprated Intercooler.
Abbott Racing Poly engine mounts.
Should be about 290-300bhp, but still returns a nice 31mpg average.

SUSPENSION:
Abbott Racing fully Polybushed suspension front and back.
Abbott Racing Lowering Springs and uprated shocks all round.
Abbott Racing PiggyBack Anti-Roll Bars.
Toyo T1R tyres all round.

INTERIOR:
Interior Lighting, and Door lights upgraded with 6000k LED bulbs for a crisp white light.
T5 Shift & Knock LED's fitted to Dash.
Headlights changed to DRL enabled, and light switch removed. Calibrated Boost Gauge fitted in its place.
Sony Xplod Bluetooth head unit, with Dashboard iPhone mount.
Saab Amplifier converted to work with a modern head unit.
Speakers all upgraded.
Twin 12" Sub box in boot with Amp and 2 Farad Capacitor.

EXTERIOR:
Abbott Racing Decals front and rear.
Number Plate Lights changed to 6000k LED.
Reversing sensors fitted into rear bumper.
Front Grill modified, Matt Black, with Alloy Mesh fitted from behind.
Fully undersealed front to back this summer.

That's it as far as I can think.
There is a staggering £8000 in invoices from Abbott Racing for this car. But most of that appears to be their labour charges !.
This car did have an Abbott ECU as well, but from the notes I have it only pulled 1.3 bar max and did so rather unreliably.
The new Remap I have from Jules_HT on a later 20mhz ECU is far better. More refined, higher boost, and better MPG in normal driving.

Installed custom made silicone hoses today!

Now every hose under the hood is silicone (except one from head to turbo, but that's universal)

Nothing too exciting, just a Noobtune Stage 1 remap. The video doesn't do it justice, because without a camera pointing at the speedo you'd obviously keep on going.

Saab 9-5 Aero Estate, 5-speed automatic, 317.000km on the clock.

mods:
- 3" catless downpipe

- remap by Crossroad Performance
- front mount intercooler, aluminium ebay/china 600x300x75
- all vacuum hoses changed to silicone and aluminium one-way valves installed

252whp and 397nm - these are wheel figures. Drivetrain power loss should be around 15 % on an automatic FWD - that makes 289hp and 456nm from engine.

It's was a blast yesterday! Krizzie's car has an animal like growl! Too bad one car broke loose at 225kmh. Luckily it stopped within 1 second and aprox 1 meter to the side.

I'm really happy how my car runs right now and was eager to know what the numbers would be. Was really pleased with the outcome. It has a 305 bhp biopower tune. Had 69% ethanol in the tank which resulted in 300 bhp and an astonishing 510 Nm of torque.

That's what we call huisvlijt in Dutch. Translates poorly to homecrafts. :argh:

I wasn't really pleased with my Intercooler piping, I didn't know a welder near by so I had to make the piping from silicone couplers and pieces of pipe, also the length wasn't perfect..

Now I have found a welder (not even a 10 minute drive from my home!) which does Stainless, Aluminum and everything else that you can weld so I paid him a visit.

old:
Image

Image

New:
wip
Image
T5 sensor bung
Image
Polished and installed
Image
The Intercooler was only hangin from the top (and sometimes caused some bangin noises) and now it's also firmly secured on the bottom
Image
Looking mean. :P
Image
The other side, just a bit of pipe welded on so the silicone extension could be removed.
Image

I'm planning on getting a GTX2860RS next, so then that nasty 135 degree bend can go out as well!

I'm very pleased indeed! So pleased in fact that I'm going back there to get a 3" intake welded (also Aluminum) and a 3" v-band downpipe. (for better flow to my future GTX2860RS :D )

Not a mod as such but a cool feature I stumbled upon when fitting my boost gauge.

I used a "Fuse Tap" and tapped into Number 10 fuse in the fuse box. This fuse was for the "Injectors" & was a 10amp fuse.
Doing this makes a delay in the gauge turning off after turning the ignition off.

As I said not a mod but a cool feature incase anyone else is installing a boost gauge.

heres a vid of it
