Hi all,

Just picked up a new car today, and I'm in love with it already. It's a 2006 9-3 Aero 2.8t V6 in blue.

Here's some pics.

I apologise in advance for the numerous questions I will no doubt ask over the coming months :)

Yeah I'm really pleased with it, it's my first Saab. Only owned two cars before this in my 13 years of driving. First was a 1997 Vauxhall Corsa Sport, hand me down from Mum when I passed my test. Last was a Renaultsport Clio 182, which was great fun.

Really enjoying the 9-3 so far :)

I bought off eBay in the end, I was a bit worried as I bought it before seeing it. Got it for £2,050, which I hope is a good price - I was surprised it didn't go for more but it was a no reserve auction so maybe that helped.

I didn't realise the Saab on the wheels wasn't standard, I just assumed they were all like that. I quite like it, even more now I know it's not standard :p

I think they are the standard ALU52 wheels, just logo'd up :-)

I have a set I use for my winter wheels

They are a very well presented car. I've had mine for 3 years now. Just out of curiosity what's the mileage? And would you like a list of the problems & mishaps I've had with mine so far? Its better to be prepared I supose!! No its not all that bad, well at least not in my humble opinion, as I do still lovingly own My 2006 Black 2.8 Turbo!?!

Welcome. Very jealous of the lack of broken front splitter!

Just wondering now that the honeymoon period is probably over.... have you had any issues yet... there are a few common faults... be interesting to find out if you've found them yet... it still puts a big smile on my face..

Sorry for the massively late reply.

The issues I've had so far have been minimal fortunately. I had a front left position light failure (a bulb replacement) and that's it. I took it in for main service recently and they said it looked like the fuel filter had never been replaced so they sorted that too. I changed the rear discs and pads shortly after getting it.

The only major issue - it goes through fuel so damn quickly! :D

One other minor thing, I find the car almost steering itself in the direction of the camber in the road or bumps in the road. I used to get this a lot on my old Clio 182 as well. Not sure what that might be.

Could be a number of things from as simple as...

Tyre Pressure
Tyre Tread
Worn bushings
Tracking
Slack in the track rod end's

Start with the simple stuff.
