Thanks Mark411 for the heads up! Not sure if I'll have a fast car ready in time but might be tempted to take Sandras standard convertible.

Always been interested in events like this, would probably only do one day otherwise the 9000 will bankrupt me for fuel and probably turbo falling off or something.
Whats it like on the cars?, from what vids i've seen it looks like a few long straights you can open it up on and the corners have to be taken quite slow due to the cones?

I think George and Mark411 are the only ones that's done the new layout, seem to recall both thought the layout was good. I won't be going now as Sandras clutch has started to slip....what is it with these 9-3ss clutches?? Both our cars now need clutches!

Yes the spring event last year was my 1st time on the new layout. It is so much better and more rewarding than the old one could ever hope to be. Instead of one epic long straight you now get 2 slightly shorter straights which, depending on your minerals can Vmax on both.
As for the corners, the track is so wide you can take almost any line you fancy and still be quick, you don't need to be a cone hugger here. There is though a very tight and twisty technical section, read low 2nd gear, towards the end of the lap after the 2nd long straight. Its a marmite section but I love it as its a great leveller and keeps everyone honest and on their toes.
My onboard vid below gives an idea of the sheer size of the circuit. Does appear slow, but this stint was a filming run grardually building speed. We were relatively slow all day by our usual standards since both our cars were to be used as our wedding cars a few weeks after the event so didn't want to go home via AA lol.

Anyway, hopefully enjoy the vid. At about 11mins in, you see me pull away from my wife's Scooby. Her gearing tops the car out at 130mph and I keep on going but back off at 140mph to keep everyone in shot....loads more straight left though.
