Looks good mate!

One bit you need to think about is the spongey dash top and how that will/won't line up with the windscreen when fitted to the dash, now that the dash is a lot thicker than the original.

Thanks Al and John, it should fit as it goes over the original metal dash and bolts to it.

Aye mate, it will go over your new dash but will it be away from the bottom of the windscreen by the thickness of your wood when all is bolted up or have I got me knickers in a twist again?

No, the dash top fits into its normal place with the metal dash screwed to it as normal and the wooden dash is like a facia over the old dash.(I hope :park: )

Not yet, in a few weeks when Ive got all the bits I need, namely either an oil filter sandwich plate(with outlets for a gauge and pressure switch) or an adaptor to fit the oil pipe to the usual outlet on the side of the block, possibly a new ignition switch, and MOT and TAX and Insurance.

The adaptor is cheap enough mate. Sandwich plate is possibly too complicated for your job? The 99 has an adaptor fitted.

Im only thinking of the sandwich plate as it will put the pipe and cable nearer the dash and not down by the exhaust.
