Hahaha of course Peter, although I have to say I couldn't figure out how to upload and then post images onto the forum.....I'm sure this must be a regular question from those of us who are rather clueless.

Sadly I'm one of those clueless people... :park:
The 3 door 99T on Anglia Car Auctions sold for £6090 according to their website.

Looking at "How Many Left" there aren't many 1979 or 1980 900 Turbo's around atall (if these figures are to be believed). Apparently of the 1979 cars, 4 remain - 2 Sorned and 2 Licensed.

Of the 1980 cars, apparently only one remains, and this has been recently licensed.

I think I know most of the 1979 cars, because they have been discussed on here from years past - so we have:

DVG XXXT - Black 5 door 900 Turbo (the earliest one in existence I believe, but last MOT'd in 2015)...according to the MOT history its done over 300k miles!
DCD XXXT - Green 3 Door 900 Turbo - From Jamsaab Martin
JAT XXXV - Red 3 Door Turbo (this has your "99T colour" interior!)
CUL XV - Aquamarine 3 Door Turbo.

I don't know anything about the 1 car from 1980? Maybe that is your dream black 900T!! But if the numbers are to be believed, then there are far fewer early cars around than you might think?! Scary really!

That's interesting. I imagine there will be others, but still very few, stored and not sorned....I have 30 vintage Douglas Vespas dating back to early 1950s, many of which aren't registered for now, but just stored.
I'm really quite annoyed with myself, walking away from the black 1980 3dr, red 99T interior in Italy.... had low mileage, stored for years, fantastic original condition, etc. Looked into transporting it back...just got frustated dealing with the vendor.....in retrospect I feel a complete mug, and should have followed through with it!! You live and learn....

If you're open to a LHD car, it might be worth having a look on AutoScout24.com

Strong money for a rusty 'project' with non-original tailgate and later engine... (£1220.00)

CUL XV - Aquamarine 3 Door Turbo.

Aquamarine is my favourite colour for the early 900 turbo. TRX wheels, B Engine and old school Turbo............... lush matching velour interior.................... but that ones I saw in mid 80's were starting to show corrosion. Any early 900 is worth aquiring and putting back to previous glory....... he says after letting his flat front T16S go .......... but too many cars at the time

Best of luck with your quest to find

Only seen photos of the aquamarine.....definitely different and of it's time.....quite a brave colour..!!!
My favourite but rather predictable colour is the black with red interior, although do like the burgundy with red interior or Acacia green with matching interior.....all of which I would be very happy to track down.
Currently down to 1 car (daily drive), my black 1986 T16s with tan leather interior, Inca alloys and cheating a little bit with the early more fussy turbo grill.....makes it look older and cooler in my mind.
Sold my 88 T16s a few weeks ago during this quest.....following an enquiry through this post, without offering it up for sale......this site definitely works!!....have also had several offers of cars......not quite there, but feeling hopeful...keep watching this space.
Really grateful for the interest and pointers from everyone on here.
