As heading really, looking for a T16 or T16s with mechanical issues/problems
3dr or convertible preferred, something that's not too rusty,
Any colour will do but embassy or le,mans blue would be nice,
Many thanks.

My 1990 T16S is now available. I bought her 18 months ago for £2500 from Speedysaab of this parish, and have used her as my daily driver since. During my ownership I have had the regular maintenance stuff done (service every 5K or less, fully synthetic oil used, etc) but haven't done any other work apart from pre-MOT stuff. She has now done c150K, probably genuine miles. Speedysaab modified the engine and running gear to approx Stage 1 - front-mounted intercooler, stainless steel exhaust, T7 (?) engine management, 9000 front brakes, etc - and it makes for a lovely-sounding and exciting ride. Sadly, however, 3rd gear now has chipped a tooth (or something) so that there is a chattering sound on the overrun in that gear, and I'm told be my local garage that the gearbox needs a rebuild. It's still driveable at the moment, and if you avoid takling your foot off the throttle in 3rd gear, you'd never know anything was wrong! That's not really a kind way to treat a nice old lady, however. The rest of the car is not bad. Inside there is the additional set of instruments in the centre console (though only the voltmeter is connected). The headlining is completely intact. It looks good outside (in red), though in truth the driver's door is not really in good nick. The passenger door, too, is rotten at the bottom in the usual way for c900s with T16 panels on the outside. If I had the spare cash I would have had the gearbox rebuilt and carried on using her as she is (well, was) a really great drive. When I was looking for this car I saw an awful lot of dogs... I'm in Barnsley, if you might be interested.

T16S, with modifications...
