Recommended Body Shop?

#1 Post by horsebox »

Hi.
Someone has run into the n/s back corner of my 9000 Anni, bending the boot side panel (between the rear door and the light cluster) forward and down and crumpling the boot floor.

Other than the damage, the car is in excellent condition and I want it repairing, as to replace a 2.3 fpt manual Anni in a similar condition (and I love the colour - black) is going to be a a bit tricky...

I'm based in the North East, but to find the right repairer, I'm prepared to travel. As it happens, I'll be passing Two-Stroke to Turbo on my way back to the North and I've contacted them (with photos) to see if they'd be interested in doing the work. Although I've never used them before, they seem well regarded.

However, if anyone has any other recommendations or advice, I'd be very grateful.

I haven't used them myself but several people I have met through Saabs have recommended Aeromotive near Leeds, both for repairs and bodywork. Unfortunately it's a bit out of the way for us but depending on where you are in the north east, they might be worth looking at

Thanks very much ame2, good to know they're well thought of...... By coincidence I found them online the day before you posted and sent Phil at Aeromotive photos of the car immediately before I saw your post! Thanks again.

Funnily enough I was over in Yorkshire on Sunday picking up some garage equipment I won on Ebay. Was thrilled to see a c900 parked outside and had a long chat with ebay guy about it. He had had some engine work and paintwork done at Aeromotive and seemed very happy with it.

Thanks again ame2. I spoke with Phil at Aeromotive after he'd had a chance to inspect the photos and the good news is that - subject to him seeing it in the metal - he's confident he can repair it. All I need now is a solid boot floor and a n/s rear quarter panel...
